京都の演劇ユニットBRDGと、フィリピンを代表する劇団 PETAの若手俳優が次世代と紡ぐ物語。京都とマニラで「多文化」についてリサーチを行い、青少年を対象としたワークショップを開催。そこで生まれたキャラクター、イメージ、生きる知恵 を携えて、京都とマニラを往復しながら両国の俳優たちが触れようとするのは、色とりどりに変わりゆく「わたしたち」。青少年の想像力を借りて、これからを旅する物語が出発する。
Kyoto-based theater unit BRDG and two young actors from PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association) collaborate to tell a story from the mouths of members of the next generation. BRDG and PETA conducted research in Kyoto and Manilla on the topic of multiculturalism, then held workshops for young people. They carried the characters, images, and life knowledge from those workshops back and forth between Kyoto and Manilla. In the process, the young actors from both countries attempted to touch on the colorful and ever-shifting nature of who "we" are. This performance draws on the imagination of young people to take you on a journey through the future.
BRDGBRDG
俳優の山口惠子とアートコーディネーターの川那辺香乃が2011年に結成。各々が企画を生み出す場として「BRDG」と名付け、山口は2012年より京都に住む海外からの移住者へのインタビューをもとに演劇作品を創作し、川那辺は地域のアートプロジェクトやワークショップを行っている。今作品は、マニラを拠点とし1967年から活動を続ける、PETA（フィリピン教育演劇協会）の若手俳優二人を招いての共同制作となる。
Formed in 2011 by actor Yamaguchi Keiko and Art Coordinator Kawanabe Kano. BRDG was established to be a venue for both artists to create and present their own projects. Beginning in 2012, Yamaguchi created a work of theater by conducting interviews with Kyoto residents who had immigrated from abroad, while Kawanabe conducted local art projects and lead workshops. This piece is a collaboration with two young actors invited from the Manilla-based PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association), which has been active since 1967.
