The figure appears on stage, listens closely, and takes one slow step forward. The figure does not overlook a single thing, does not act like nothing has happened. In order to investigate the very fact of existing there, the figure performs this piece using only the most basic human actions: standing, walking, watching, and listening. Continuing to address the thematic and formal concerns of his earlier solo performances, a figure out noon goes one step beyond Takuya Takemoto's previous work. https://

TAKEMOTO Takuya

What does it mean to exist somewhere? With this problem in mind, every day I repeat performances of simply being there, whether an audience is present or not. As a part of my daily routine, these performances gradually change form, becoming a snapshot of a moment in time. Graduated from Musashino Art University Department of Imaging Arts & Sciences. Enrolled in and completed Bigakko's "Engeki Nite Hinaru Mono" course. Solo performances include Touching an Elephant (2018/5) and Emerging (2017/12).
