· Profile: Kami-robo are robot fighters made from paper, measuring about 15 to 20 centimeters tall. Over 200 kami-robo have been created by Tomohiro Yasui, to fight in the ring as pro-wrestlers. For twenty-five years, he enjoys and explores this solitary sphere of make-believe. This imaginary play “Kami-Robo fight” was shown as an entertainment at “Korakuen Hall” produced by butterfly stroke inc., and attracts 1000 people. Following year there was a live event at “Omotesando-hills”. The show is combined from 3 parts, “Kami-Robo fight” “Theatre” “Real pro-wrestling” which attract 1200 audience and brought public attention. Kami-Robo expands its potential as alternative style of live performance.
