To realize the latter aim, the Theatre has a Literary & Education Unit, which is to organize various workshops for a variety of people and other activities, such as drama readings and lectures, to make the Theatre accessible and familiar to the general public. In Japan, it is still very unique for any theatre, from a professional theatre company to a publicly funded theatre venue, to have a special section for such activities.
