Profile: CINARS (Commerce international des arts de la scene=The International Exchange for the Performing Arts) is a non-profit private sector organization based in Montreal. Since 1984, CINARS has been contributing to the international recognition of Canada's performing arts. Its mission is to encourage the development of new markets and improve performing arts' export marketing and promotion practices. The marketplace is the main CINARS event, bringing to Montreal artists, agents, presenters observers and producers engaged in the performing arts. The 12th edition of CINARS platform will be in Montreal, from November 14 to 18 2006. Nearly 1000 presenters, agents, artists and observers from more than 50 countries will take part during five days of meetings, performances and discussions.

Profile: Tokyo International Arts Festival is organized by the NPO, Arts Network Japan. TIF is held annually with 2005 being the 11th anniversary of its history. TIF consists of three main programs, which are: Theatrical program for both local and international participants, as well as regional theater series; The Communication Program, providing occasional theatergoers and students studying in the field opportunities to learn more about the processes behind the curtains of a theatrical production; and The International Visitors’ Program, which is offered in the hope of building networks and sharing ideas between Japanese and international arts professionals.
