ままごと／ズキュンズ
制作者・プロデューサー。1981年東京生まれ。制作＆プロデュースユニット「ZuQnZ（ズキュンズ）」主宰。2007年〜2011年まで「青年団」演出部に在籍。2009年には、劇作家・演出家の柴幸男と共に「ままごと」を起ち上げ、現在に至るまで《製作総指揮》として関わる。2012年以降、劇団活動の他に様々なアーティストとの作品創作にも意欲的に取り組んでいる。


「劇場」という空間でアーティストと共に作品を生み続けながら、私は・・・私の「演劇」は、何のために必要であるのかという疑問を常に持ち続けている。社会の深層／表層を表出させる手段として「演劇」というものが機能していた時代を経て、変革し続ける現代社会の中で「演劇」は今、何を求められているのだろうか。「劇場」で我々が体現している事は《創造》であり《想像》である。観客が舞台上で立ち上がる《創造》に出会った時、客席の一人一人から湧き起こる《想像》を私は作品と呼んでいる。だからこそ。誰でもない誰かに。自分の知らない自分に。さっきすれ違った貴方に。“出会う” ために、私の「演劇」は、ある。もしかしたらそれは、世界への「祈り」のようなものなのかもしれない。今回は「杉原邦生」という演出家と共に貴方に出会いたいと思う。

Presenter / producer. Born in Tokyo in 1981. Representative of a producing unit “ZuQnZ.” He belonged to the directing division of Seinendan from 2007 to 2011, and established the theatre company “mamagoto” with the playwright / director Yukio Shiba in 2009. He has been managing the company as executive director while, since 2012, enthusiastically working on creations with other artists.


Producing works with artists in the space called “theater,” I... always ask myself for what my “theatre” is needed. After the times when “theatre” functioned as a means of exposing the depths and surface of society, what is “theatre” expected to do in the ever-changing contemporary society? What we embody in a “theater” are <creation> and <imagination>. What I call a piece is the <imagination> that arises from each member of audience when they encounter <creation> that takes place on stage. That is why my “Theatre” exists: it is for “encounter” with the anonymous, myself that I have never known, or you who have just gone by. Perhaps it is something like a “prayer” to the world. Together with the director “Kunio Sugihara,” I would like to have an encounter with you.

Using the dynamic space of the Hall of Kanagawa Arts Theatre, we create a theatre piece with “parade / procession / march” as its motifs. “Individuals” that emerge from the “collective” of a range or people, and their activities. Fêtes and ceremonies. Progression and retrogression. Goals and chaos. Cooperation and opposition. Movements, streams and energy that swallow up all these things. We imagine that the piece will be about a journey to discover the energy with music.

Kunio Sugihara
Director, stage designer, leader of KUNIO and a project member of Kinoshita Kabuki. Born in 1982 in Tokyo and was raised in Chigasaki, Kanagawa. Among his recent directions are KUNIO09 Angels in America written by Tony Kushner (2011), Yoshitsune Senbonzakura by Kinoshita Kabuki (2012) and KUNIO10 Sarachi (Vacant Lot) written by Shogo Ota (2012). Director of “Summit,” a performing arts festival organized by Komaba Agora Theater, for two years from 2008 and concept designer of the fringe project of KYOTO EXPERIMENT for three years from 2010.
