●Profile: Japanese theatre company Chiten is presided by director MIURA Motoi. Chiten moved its base from Tokyo to Kyoto in 2005. Based on various texts, Chiten searches dynamics of language, human body, materials and sounds in order to create expressions upon the identity of theater. In 2005, Chiten won Toga Directors' Competition with Chekhov's “The Seagull”. In 2006, Chiten won the Best Scenography Award at Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre with Miller's “the Crucible”.
