●Profile: A member of Dumb Type since 1996. Active in independent solo projects since 2000. His recent solo works, characterized by collaborations with sound/visual artists who uniquely combine the elements of light and sound, include “Di Que No Ves (Say You Don’t See)”(03), “D.D.D.”(04), and “Tablemind”(06). In the latest “Good Luck”(08) he worked with film sound designer David Vranken (Canne 07 Grand-Prix winning “Mogari no Mori” by Naomi Kawase). Also in other multimedia projects including “true ? a new sound, light and dance performance”(07) and Yubiawa Hotel’s “Exchange”(07) which will be touring around the world in 08. |

●Profile: In 2000, SUZUKI Yukio started dance group, ‘kingyo (goldfish)’. His way of producing dance pieces which do not use established way of body expression, maximizing dancers’ characters, get good review among Japanese contemporary world. In 2003, he got The Lab Award. In 2005 he performed in International Triennale of Contemporary Art, YOKOHAMA, and won him the Audience award in Toyota choreography award. In 2007, he provided the Tokyo city ballet company with the arrangement-of-a-dance work. And, he joined “ITI 3rd Asian Dance Conference”. Furthermore, he received the nomination in the “Kyoto performing-arts prize”. |
