Profile: Saitama Arts Theater and its managing body, Saitama Arts Foundation (SAF), as being one of the most active performance bases of the country, produce and present extensively the stages by the directors/choreographers of international note, from both at home and abroad. 2007 dance programs include notably: the world premiere of "Hydra", the collaboration with Inbal Pinto Dance Company; Jan Fable's acclaimed "Je suis sang"; and "zero degrees" by two young European talents, Akram Khan & Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. SAF also organises the workshops and classes for the people of varied dance experience.

Profile: Sankei Hall Breeze opens in November 2008. The new theater provides you with great joy and stirs your hearts. Just like the former Sankei Hall nurtured the so-called Kamigata culture developed in the Kansai region of Japan for more than half a century, Sankei Hall Breeze gives rise to new culture. The main auditorium boasts a seating capacity of 912, exactly the right size for both the audience and the artists to share the magnificent moments together. Here we present a wide variety of sophisticated entertainments, ranging from the classical music to jazz, traditional Japanese dance, theater and opera.

Profile: The main aims of the Public Theatre lie not only in presenting performances of good quality to the wide public but also in encouraging participation of the community. To realize the latter aim, the Theatre has a Literary & Education Unit, which is to organize various workshops for a variety of people and other activities, such as drama readings and lectures, to make the Theatre accessible and familiar to the general public. In Japan, it is still very unique for any theatre, from a professional theatre company to a publicly funded theatre venue, to have a special section for such activities.

Profile: The Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM) was established in November 2003 as a cultural-arts complex that accommodates a hall for stage performances, an exhibition space, a mini film theatre, and the Yamaguchi City Library. A platform for sharing computer- and IT-based media technology, YCAM hosts among others a variety of theatre and dance performances, art exhibitions, film screenings and workshops. YCAM distinguishes itself through being not only a venue for presentations of existing outstanding works, but also a studio in which new, original artworks are produced and unveiled in front of the public.
