A contemporary performing arts market in Australia. Established in 1994 and has been held biannually. From 1998 to 2012, it was held in Adelaide around the period of Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Fringe, and in Brisbane from 2014 to 2018 with Brisbane Powerhouse as the main venue. An opportunity for discovering Australian performing arts works and artists, APAM2016 involved 71 showcases, more than 300 artists and 655 participants from more than 30 countries.

A performing arts market that is held in New York in January every year as the plenary meeting of APAP (Association of Performing Arts Presenters). More than 3,600 presenters, artists, agents and arts organizations in total from across the U.S. and 33 other countries participate. Meetings in various scales, booth presentations by more than 370 organizations, and more than 1,000 showcases are organized. APAP, the organizer, is a membership association of performing arts professionals for information sharing, networking and advocacy.

Asian Dramaturgs’ Network

A collective that was formed in order to share knowledge and thoughts of Asian dramaturges. The director is Lim How Ngean. Established in 2016. In the meeting in April, they connected Asian dramaturges and practitioners and discussed dramaturgy and the work and roles of dramaturges. They plan to continue to organize platforms for dramaturges in Asia.

Borak Arts Series

An arts conference for performing arts practitioners. Held along with George Town Festival. With “Bringing Arts Closer to Home” as the theme, speakers from India, U.S., Malaysia, Australia and Japan are invited. Various session, performances, and programs such as ten-minute presentations of works “Pitchpad ASEAN” that invites applications are organized.

CINARS Biennale

An international showcase and networking event that has been organized every two years. Started as “conférence internationale des arts de la scène” in 1984, it renamed itself as “CINARS Biennale” at the 17th edition in 2016. Around 1,500 professionals from 40 countries take part in the conferences on performing arts, booth presentation, exchange programs and showcases. The showcases, where 170 works mainly from Quebec and Canada are introduced, consist of the official programs selected by CINARS and OFF-CINARS, a fringe program in which anyone can participate on certain conditions such as participation in the booth exhibition and pre-determined time frames.

An international performing arts market held in the second weekend of September. Established in 1981. IETM Plenary Meeting

IETM (International network for contemporary performing arts, formerly Informal European Theatre Meeting) is a network of more than 500 organisations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts. IETM holds two plenary meetings a year in different European cities, and smaller meetings all over the world. Non-members can take part in the plenary meetings. Travel grants for participation in are offered to members only.

The largest international arts market as a platform where contemporary dance specialists get together. Established in Essen in 1994, and currently biannually held in Düsseldorf. The showcases do not involve geographical limitation, featuring artists from more than 50 countries including Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Artists, agents and cultural organizations introduce their activities in the booth exhibition and presentation programs.

IPAM (International Performing Arts Meeting)

PAMS (Performing Arts Market in Seoul)

An international performing arts market held in Seoul in October annually since 2005. The official showing program “PAMS Choice,” a fringe program “PAMS Link” in various venues in Seoul, booth exhibition and symposia are organized. PAMS2015 had 2,544 participants: 2,105 from Korea and 439 from abroad.

WOMEX (the World Music Expo)

An international platform for the world music industry held in different cities in Europe in October. Established in 1994. Booth exhibition, “Showcase Festival” selected by the independent, international jury, “Conference” and film screenings curated by WOMEX are organized. 1,500 organizations, 2,500 individuals from 90 countries took part in the 2015 edition.
